NGO Friday – Informal Gathering

NGO乐聚星期五

 

Background:As a social enterprise with its headquarters inHong Kong, CSR Asia promotes the principles and practice of corporate social responsibility in the region. We believe an informed and engaged civil society is imperative for CSR. With the continuous support from NGOs inChina, CSR Asia acts as a facilitator between the business world and NGOs in the region and provides opportunities for companies to engage with local groups. To contribute to the work of NGOs inChina, CSR Asia has initiated “NGO Fridays” - an informal gathering for NGOs working inSouthern Chinawith the NGOCN.org. The event aims to enhance networking and possibilities for cooperation among participants in order to improve CSR in the region. CSR Asia will provide the venue and hopes that different groups will take the initiative to organise the bi-monthly event in the future.

 

背景：CSR Asia (企业社会责任亚洲)作为一家总部设在香港的社会企业，致力推动亚洲的企业社会责任。由于得到中国的非政府组织的支持，企业社会责任亚洲作为一个商业世界与草根组织的桥梁，为企业提供与非政府组织合作的机会。为了回馈中国的非政府组织世界的支持，企业社会责任亚洲联同NGO发展交流网提倡「NGO乐聚星期五」这活动，希望为在南中国工作的非政府组织提供一个轻松聚会的机会。这活动的主要目的是交流及讨论将来可合作的机会。企业社会责任亚洲将为活动提供场地，并希望不同的机构在将来可以自发组织这个定期的聚会。

 

NGO发展交流网（简称NGOCN http://www.ngocn.org）是一个非政治，非宗教的民间公益交流平台。我们旨在以志愿的精神，通过网络社会和现实社会的互动，推动面向公众，具有实践性的公民教育工作，催生及支持本土化的志愿者及民间公益小组，鼓励并创造机会让更多的人投入参与社会服务发展工作。作为本次聚会的协办方，我们希望能有更多的人关注和投入参与社会服务发展工作。
